After the Good Friday liturgy on Friday 18th April 2025, the church was transformed in preparation for the Easter Masses which begin with the Easter Vigil on Saturday 19th April at 8.00pm. Our Flower Team have been very busy behind the scenes helping to make this transformation as can be seen from the pictures below.
We would personally like to say how grateful we are to Irene Bell who drives to a wholesalers near Heathrow Airport to pick up the beautiful flowers for ALL our church celebrations. It is a big ask and commitment for her, but she is more than happy to give of her time to help keep the cost of the flowers down which would normally be very expensive.
There were only three of us this time to do the Easter arrangements: myself, Irene and Sylvia Polley. We would normally have also had the newest member of the Flower Team helping us, Aquina, who is at present with her family in Zimbabwe and we miss her greatly.
We all enjoy arranging the flowers to honour our dear Lord and parish and we love making the Church look so beautiful. We know how much everyone appreciates our beautiful arrangements and it is a privilege for us to do them for our parish.
