We were delighted to welcome a group of singers and Nicholas Young from Cove CofE Parish (Christ Church and St John’s) for a joint choir practice on Friday 15 November 2024. Nicholas Young is Director of the St John’s Choir and was the inspiration behind and conductor of ‘Come to the Table’ which was performed in our church in April.
The choir practice enabled the Cove choir to get accustomed to our church and allowed our choir and organists to learn some new music which will be sung by this joint choir at our Vigil Mass at 5.30pm on Saturday 30 November 2024. This will be our first weekend Mass of Advent and the start of our celebration of ‘Darkness into Light’.

The Cove choir will be singing the same music in a ‘Darkness into Light’ Advent Service at St John’s Church, Cove on Sunday 1 December 2024 at 6.00pm. Some of our singers from OLSD hope to join them and all are welcome.
