Welcome to our New Communion Group

On Wednesday 2nd October the children of our parish wishing to make their First Holy Communion gathered for their first session. After introductions, an opening prayer and decorating name badges, the group embarked on an engaging scavenger hunt in the church, exploring key features of God’s house. Guided by their catechists the children also practised genuflecting towards the tabernacle, as a sign of God’s presence in the Eucharist.

After some quiet reflecting time to colour in the ‘Our Father’, the session finished with a prayer to our Guardian Angels. 

We look forward to sharing in this special journey with these children.
