Thursday 11th July 2024 was our monthly meeting of the Mamma Margherita Senior Club.
Ian welcomed members and thanked them for their generous donations at last month’s meeting for The Sean Devereux Trust.
Jane Fensome, who has a wonderful talent for flower arranging, gave us a step-by-step workshop on how to make button holes. Jane brought so many beautiful flowers, greenery, ribbons etc and we could make two or three arrangements. A big thank you to Jane for sharing her talent, time and patience with us.
Cake, coffee/tea was much appreciated afterwards.Â
Raffle was drawn, prizes collected with smiles and it was time to end our meeting with thanks and notices given and a reminder for next month when Eileen O’Connell will be giving a illustrated talk on Empress Eugénie and her influence on Farnborough.
Mary Pole-Baker shared her thoughts for the day and ended with a prayer – thank you Mary.
Everyone headed home with button holes and a smile. Â
