The whole parish came together at mid-day on Sunday with an international shared ‘Agape’ meal (a feast to express the Christian love of the community) in celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Â
Everyone was invited to bring a savoury or sweet dish from their native country and to add to a sharing table. The result was a delicious selection of international specialities. Â
The hall was packed and there was a wonderful community feel.  It was a great to meet new people and catch up with old friends too. Thank you especially to those who wore colourful national costumes. We believe that the parish has parishioners who originate from over 40 countries and it felt like many of these were represented at this lovely lunch.
A big thank you to Sharon Boylett and the Social Ministry team for a brilliantly organised event and all your hard work in preparation and during the lunch itself. Â
