The Interim Pastoral Pastoral Council held its first full working meeting on Thursday 18 April 2024. We start with prayer, and the meeting directly follows Adoration to help us be guided by the Lord. Â

Here are some highlights:
- A small subgroup has been set up to draw up a parish Pastoral Plan for submission to Portsmouth Diocese.
- Fr Anthony explained how the Ministry Empowerment Model will help the PPC members and ultimately all OLSD Ministry leads to collaborate in the service of the OLSD Community. For more information about this click visit the Parish Pastoral Council page on this website. Each Ministry will develop and grow at its own pace and recruit teams of their own so we have more active Ministries all collaborating.Â
- We have already started to set priorities and objectives for the next year which will feed into the Pastoral plan.
We discussed various initiatives already under way:
- Improved video and audio capabilities in the hall and ultimately the church.
- New online management of parish activities to make organising things simpler, more collaborative and safer for all.
- Fr Tony Sultana’s Golden Jubilee celebration (20 July 2024).
The Interim PPC intends to meet approximately every six weeks.
